Storyline: Ulrik (Stellan Skarsgard) is an odd sort of criminal, utterly passive and willing to do what is asked of him, demanding little in return. For the last crime he committed he was sent to jail, but he's now getting out, and the prospect of freedom is less than enticing. His boss, Jensen (Bjørn Floberg), wants him to pursue revenge against the snitch who put him in prison. On top of that, Ulrik has to deal with his son, who has a new fiancée, and a family that doesn't think much of his profession.

Storyline: A dock worker in Le Havre hears a human sound inside one of the containers in port, that container which left Gabon three weeks ago and which was supposed to arrive in London five days after its departure from Gabon, which didn't happen. The Le Havre police and French border guards find a still alive group of illegal African immigrants inside. On the sign from one of his elders, a young teen boy among the illegal immigrants manages to escape, news of which hits the local media. Storyline: Engineers Aaron, Abe, Robert and Phillip are working on an invention, the prototype being built in Aaron's garage. This project is beyond their day jobs. The project truly does belong to Aaron and Abe, as they use all their free time working on it, primarily trying to overcome the many engineering related problems they've encountered. It is during one of his tests with the invention running that Abe discovers that a protein inside the main unit has multiplied much more rapidly than it could in nature.
