Storyline: Filmmaker Keven McAlester explores the life of legendary vocalist and songwriter Roger Kynard "Roky" Erickson, who, during the '60s, fronted the influential rock 'n' roll band 13th Floor Elevators. Following extensive psychedelic drug use and a stint in a mental hospital, Roky spent the greater part of the last four decades suffering from schizophrenia. She desperately wants to lose weight and so goes on a crash course involving popping pills, pills which turn out to be very addictive and harmful to her mental state.
