#16. Outrageous! (1977)

Storyline: Robin Turner is a gay hairdresser. He hates his job. He loves old movies and will do his customers' hair in the style of an iconic movie star if they'll let him, and even if they don't. At his apartment, he is harboring his medically diagnosed schizophrenic friend, Liza Connors, who can no longer stand being institutionalized. After Liza convinces Robin to attend a drag ball dressed as Tallulah Bankhead, Robin begins to feel liberated. On Liza's further urging, Robin accepts a local club's offer to work as a female impersonator, he doing his own singing unlike most drag queens. As he progresses with his female impersonation work to great aplomb, he takes a shot at making it big in New York City. The money will have to come in since despite medical warnings to her not to do it, Liza has become pregnant (not Robin's baby), she deciding to have and keep the baby.—Huggo

Storyline: An astronaut brings home a glowing green orb for his daughter. However, the green orb wipes him out and corners the girl for its purposes. Claiming to embody ultimate evil, the malevolent sphere, known as the Loc-Nar, terrorizes the little girl by showing a series of bizarre and fantastic stories it has influenced. The first is "Harry Canyon", a cynical taxi driver in a squalid futuristic New York who finds himself involved with a damsel in distress who is relentlessly pursued by murderous thugs who desire the Loc-Nar her archaeologist father found. The second is "Den", which chronicles the adventures of a nerdish teenager who is thrown into the fantasy world of Neverwhere, where he is transformed into a handsome muscleman, desired by beautiful women, who must get involved in a conflict revolving around possession of the Loc-Nar. When Pete gets a tip from one of his fellow drivers that a deal will be made by the Americans and the Soviets over pork bellies, he decides to invest in the market, but needs to $3000 to invest. Henrietta then goes to extreme lengths to get the money by dealing with first a loan shark, then a madame, then the mob and finally cattle rustlers. #27. The Big City (1937)

Storyline: Julius Trent, the founder and president of Trent Mills objects to the plans of his manager, Walford Andrews, to manufacture a synthetic wool called Woolex. Finding Julius behind the times, the stockholders vote Andrews in as president. Following doctor's orders, Julius, accompanied by his wife and his daughter Betty, retires to California. Julius is completely bored by retirement, so when the gardener, an active, healthy man older than Julius, suggests that Julius buy a small business to run as an amusement, he takes the advice and, using an assumed name, buys a half interest in a dry cleaning business. His partner is Ken Mitchell, a young man who has invented a special cleaning fluid. Neither Julius nor Ken realize, however, that the former owner sold them the business to avoid paying money to a group of gangsters headed by Chick Morelli. During a delivery, Ken accidentally splashes mud on Betty, and offers to clean her dress for free. By the time the dress is clean, the two have fallen in love. Julius is pleased by this development and is also pleased to learn that since Woolex cannot be successfully cleaned, all the orders for the fabric have been canceled. Determined not to pay Morelli any extortion money, Julius contrives a confrontation between Morelli and rival gangster Dutch Schmidt. The two gangs shoot it out, killing everyone. When Julius' identity as a textile magnate is revealed, Ken is surprised to discover he is already familiar with his future father-in-law. Julius then receives an offer to return to work as the head of Trent Mills.

Storyline: New York playboy Danny Churchill is sent to a small town in Arizona, where being sheriff is very dangerous, to keep away from girls, but he decides to open a dude ranch there. He asks his friend Slick, a professional gambler and his wife Kitty, to help him. Slick decides to go there in a cab, driven by shy Jimmy. Jimmy's younger sister Tessie also travels there. There Danny has fallen in love with Molly, but troubles arise for him when the local heavy decides that he doesn't like the ranch and announces running for sheriff. Danny and Slick got the idea that Jimmy would be the ideal candidate, especially because of the fact that the heavy has announced he would kill another sheriff. With some help Jimmy is elected, but Molly leaves Danny with a New York shyster for Mexico.
