In this film based on actual events, Karla Homolka (Laura Prepon) and Paul Bernardo (Misha Collins) seem like a typical suburban couple -- that is, until Paul is implicated in a series of disturbing killings. It turns out Karla married Paul knowing he had raped and killed several girls, including her own sister, Tammy (Cherilyn Hayres). As the evidence mounts against Paul, Karla is questioned by Dr. Arnold (Patrick Bauchau) about her level of involvement in the murders.

Laura Prepon stars as infamous Canadian Karla Homolka who along with her husband Paul Bernardo, played by Mischa Collins, abducted, tortured, raped and killed many girls in Ontario. Set in prison the film wraps around her recounting of events with a psychologist who is determining her state of mind prior to her parole hearing. Fascinating, yet very disturbing to watch even though the killings are off camera, but the degradation and misogyny on display is tough to watch.
