#2. Jellyfish (2007)

Storyline: The lives of three dissimilar women -- bride Keren (Noa Knoller), catering crewmember Batia (Sarah Adler) and Joy (Ma-nenita De Latorre), an attendee's employee -- converge at a wedding in Tel Aviv, Israel. Each woman has her own unique set of problems to face. Batia ends a romantic relationship, and afterward finds an abandoned child. Joy has emigrated from the Philippines, but could not bring her son with her. The prospect of Keren's honeymoon is shattered after an unfortunate accident.

#3. Paradise Now (2005)

Storyline: Palestinians Said and Khaled, now in young adulthood, have been lifelong friends living in Nablus in the West Bank. They have both had what they consider a difficult life, now working side-by-side in unfulfilling jobs as auto mechanics in a small garage, being unfulfilling as difficult as the jobs were to get. Those difficult lives includes feeling like they are prisoners in the West Bank, Said who has only left the region once on a medical issue when he was six. They blame all their problems on the oppression by the Israelis. As such, they have volunteered and have been accepted by a Palestinian resistance group to carry out a suicide bombing mission in Tel Aviv: after the initial response to the first bomb, the second bomb would be detonated at the same site. Following the bombing, the resistance group would release pre-taped video messages of Said and Khaled confessing to the bombing in the name of God. The mission would require Said and Khaled to cross "illegally" into Israel. ...

#4. The Bubble (2006)

Storyline: The movie follows a group of young friends in the city of Tel Aviv and is as much a love song to the city as it is an exploration of the claim that people in Tel Aviv are isolated from the rest of the country and the turmoil it's going through. The movie looks at young people's lives in Tel Aviv through the POVs of gays and straights, Jews and Arabs, men and women. It all begins when Noam, a young Israeli soldier, serves in the reserve forces and meets at a check point a Palestinian young man called Ashraf. Following an incident during which Noam misplaces his ID card at the check point, Ashraf shows up on the doorstep of the apartment that Noam shares with a gay man and a straight woman. #6. Round Trip (2003)

Storyline: Nurit and Mushidi have come to Tel Aviv for very different reasons. Nurit packs up her son and daughter and leaves her jobless husband for what she hopes will be a more fulfilling life in the big city. Meanwhile, Mushidi has left Nigeria and her young son to look for work. When Nurit realizes that her bus-driving job will not pay the bills and allow her to watch her children, she decides to hire a nanny. Enter Mushidi who agrees to watch the children in exchange for room and board. Mushidi's smile and optimism seem to brighten the apartment immediately, and soon Nurit and Mushidi are spending time together on the bustling streets of Tel Aviv. #7. The Point Men (2001)

Storyline: A group of agents from Israeli intelligence agency Mossad make a mess of an attempt to kill a Palestinian terrorist.
