#1. Shanghai Express (1932)

Storyline: Many passengers on the Shanghai Express are more concerned that the notorious Shanghai Lily is on board than the fact that a civil war is going on that may make the trip take more than three days. The British Army doctor, Donald Harvey, knew Lily before she became a famous "coaster." A fellow passenger defines a coaster as "a woman who lives by her wits along the China coast." When Chinese guerrillas stop the train, Dr. Harvey is selected as the hostage. #2. The Adventures of Marco Polo (1938)

Storyline: Marco Polo travels from Venice to Peking, where he quickly discovers spaghetti and gunpowder and falls in love with the Emperor's daughter. The Emperor Kublai Khan is a kindly fellow, but his evil aide Ahmed wants to get rid of Kublai Khan so he can be emperor, and to get rid of Marco Polo so he can marry the princess. #3. A Great Wall (1986)

Storyline: Chinese-American Leo Fang (Peter Wang) has not been to China in 30 years. After he loses out on a promotion because of his Chinese heritage, he quits his job as a computer programmer and brings his family to China to meet his relatives. But Leo does not anticipate the ensuing culture clash between Western and Eastern customs. After many misunderstandings and uncomfortable moments, the families are forced to accept their differences and try to appreciate their opposite lifestyles.
