#1. Last Dance (2002)

Storyline: This documentary charts the artistic collaboration between the avant-garde dance troupe Pilobolus and author Maurice Sendak as they prepare the Holocaust-themed performance "A Selection." It's the first time the dance company has collaborated with someone outside the troupe, which leads to some tension. The occasionally stormy creative process is portrayed along with interviews, rehearsals and archival footage depicting the historical events from which the group takes its inspiration.

#2. Artists and Models (1955)

Storyline: Painter Rick Todd (Dean Martin) is having difficulty with his career, so he starts taking inspiration from the dreams of his friend and roommate, Eugene (Jerry Lewis), a comic book fan who narrates an adventure story while he sleeps. Unbeknown to Eugene, Abigail Parker (Dorothy Malone), the artist for his favorite comic book, lives in the same building with her roommate, Bessie (Shirley MacLaine), the model for Abigail's drawings. Eventually, the two pairs meet, and Bessie takes to Eugene.

#3. Ex-Lady (1933)

Storyline: Commercial artist Helen Bauer believes marriage kills romance. She lives with advertising writer Don Peterson. He convinces her to marry him. #5. The Bride Goes Wild (1948)

Storyline: McGrath publishes books for children and Uncle Bump is one of the best sellers. Unfortunately, Greg, who is Uncle Bump, tends to drink too much and has not started his next book. Martha won a contest to illustrate the book and the first thing that happens is that Greg gets her soused. To keep her there to illustrate, John gets a juvenile delinquent named Danny to play his son and show how much pressure he is under. #9. Something's Gonna Live (2009)

Storyline: Despite the criticisms leveled against it, the old Hollywood studio system produced many classic films and nurtured the careers of some of moviedom's top artists. Documentarian Daniel Raim turns the camera on several men who spent a lifetime behind it, among them production designer Robert Boyle, cinematographer Haskell Wexler and illustrator Harold Michelson. The group reminisce about their careers and the many well-known and celebrated movies they worked on.
