Storyline: Curator Harry Deane (Colin Firth) is an expert in fine art, but he's equally accomplished in taking abuse from his insolent boss Lionel Shabandar (Alan Rickman). That's about to change. Storyline: Absent-minded photographer Polly (Sheila McCarthy) lands a job at an art gallery in Toronto operated by a woman named Gabrielle (Paule Baillargeon). Gabrielle tells Polly she regrets she never became a great painter. Polly is impressed with Gabrielle's paintings, however, and after she smuggles one into a gallery show, a critic praises it as a masterpiece. But when it turns out to be the work of Gabrielle's lover (Ann-Marie MacDonald), Polly begins to understand how the art world works.
