british noir, husband wife relationship, london england, victorian era, beaten to death, framed for murder, accidental suicide, employer employee relationship
It starts a liitle too much melodramatic, and it has some ex machinas in the climax. Nevertheless, the production design, the colors used in the cinematography, a great performance from Jean Simmons and a curious story, makes "Footsteps in the Fog" a good entertainment, although it fails a little bit on its artistic ambitions.
