Storyline

The Earl of Locharne's (David Tomlinson's) ancestral castle is literally falling apart. His efforts to support it by hosting tourists and paid guests isn't working. A coal firm wants it to use as a vacation resort, for which it would be requisitioned by the government, and a distant American cousin wants to purchase it to live in.—Becie

Short Review

A wonderful little film about a Lord of a struggling Scottish Castle who has to do tours and rent out rooms to make ends meet. But a problem arises when the coal board wants to compulsory purchase the castle and a distant relative turns up. Also, the ghost of the castle helps to try and stop the take over by haunting the prospective new owners, Margaret Rutherford is just wonderful
