Pretty obvious but weak-sauce attempt at aping 'Casablanca', with Bogart playing a less likable version of his character from that classic film. Marta Toren is also no Ingrid Bergman -- she makes for a pretty but vapid leading lady. The 1920s Damascus setting is interesting, and makes for a visually appealing picture at times, but 'Sirocco' ultimately fails to impress much.
