Short Review
Many of Victor Herbert's lovely songs are represented, but they're tied to a cliched, mleodramatic plotline involving Allan Jones and Mary Martin as squabbling stars; Susanna Foster plays their daughter. Even Walter Connolly is rather weak in the title role.
