Their six day honeymoon at the Plaza Hotel shows that they can get to know each other easily in the biblical sense. But they will see if they can get to know each other in their real life when they move into their first apartment, a cozy (in other words, small), slightly broken down top floor unit in a five story walk-up. While Corie joyfully bounds up and down the stairs, Paul, always winded after the fact, hates the fact of having to walk up the six flights of stairs, if one includes the stairs that comprise the outside front stoop. After discussing the situation, Fergie and Jason decide the game which MACS can predict the most accurately is roulette. They decide to test MACS' abilities, and possibly get rich, at their next port of call where there is a casino, namely Venice. They plan on using a system of Morse Code light signals from the ship to shore to transmit the information. Although they go ahead with their plan, they are sidetracked by female distractions. Jason runs into his old girlfriend, hot dog heiress Pam Dunstan, who he left three years earlier because he felt he couldn't support her in the lifestyle to which she was accustomed. He is dismayed to learn that she is in Venice to get married to the pompous Tommy Dane, who works for the State Department. And Fergie meets a beautiful young girl named Julie Fitch, for who he instantly falls. He doesn't tell her of his naval occupation since her father is a naval admiral also in town. Fran is convinced that she'll see the error of her ways...until he bumps into her with her new boyfriend, and any dreams he might have had of reconciliation are dashed. He has no choice but to move on and try to meet someone new. Meanwhile, his sometimes neurotic best friends, Ben and Jon, are suffering the opposite of Fran's predicament - their girlfriends are mad about them, but the guys appear lukewarm about their girls and are forever on the lookout for someone else. Whether trawling for talent at a Rabbi's house, being mistaken as part of a gay couple or negotiating advances from his lovelorn neighbour upstairs, Fran's search for salvation draws him ever closer to home as he navigates the hardest two weeks of his life. Honeymooner stars an extraordinary cast of emerging British talent: Gerard Kearns (Shameless, Looking for Eric, The Mark of Cain), Daisy Haggard (Man Stroke Woman, Green Wing, Psychoville), Chris Coghill (24 Hour Party People), Al Weaver (Marie Antoinette, Me and Orson Welles) and Wunmi Mosaku (Womb, Moses Jones).
