Storyline: After serving time for killing a man in a hit-and-run car accident, Hong Jong-du (Sul Kyung-gu) is released with no money and nowhere to go. His family has abandoned him. While trying to make amends, he meets Han Gong-ju (Moon So-ri), his victim's adult daughter. She is wheelchair-bound due to cerebral palsy and all but abandoned in a cheap apartment by her callous family. Gong-ju's innate tenderness appeals to the uncontrollably impulsive Jong-du, and the pair begin an improbable relationship.

Storyline: In the summer of 1921, unsuccessful vice-presidential candidate Franklin Delano Roosevelt (Ralph Bellamy) is vacationing with his family at their estate on Campobello Island on the Maine/New Brunswick border. During their stay, the 39-year-old Roosevelt comes down with a fever and sudden paralysis that is eventually diagnosed as polio. Storyline: Romantic drama spaning nearly 20 years involving a deaf-mute couple, Haricharian and Aarti. Deaf and dumb bicycle messenger Haricharian meets equally deaf Aarti, and persuades her to go to sign language school to communicate with her mother and brother. The courtship leads to marriage and ultimately a child born to them. Storyline: In Paris, the aristocratic and intellectual Philippe is a quadriplegic millionaire who is interviewing candidates for the position of his carer, with his red-haired secretary Magalie. Out of the blue, Driss cuts the line of candidates and brings a document from the Social Security and asks Phillipe to sign it to prove that he is seeking a job position so he can receive his unemployment benefit. Philippe challenges Driss, offering him a trial period of one month to gain experience helping him. Then Driss can decide whether he would like to stay with him or not. Driss accepts the challenge and moves to the mansion, changing the boring life of Phillipe and his employees.
