Storyline: Given unprecedented access, documentary filmmakers D.A. Pennebaker Chris Hegedus follow part of the 1992 Clinton campaign for president. During the New Hampshire primary, the campaign hits some stumbling blocks, chief among them the Gennifer Flowers scandal, but nevertheless manages to pull out a second-place finish. From there, strategists George Stephanopoulos and James Carville repair to national campaign headquarters in Little Rock to monitor the remaining duration of the campaign.

#2. The Dark Knight (2008)

Storyline: Set within a year after the events of Batman Begins (2005), Batman, Lieutenant James Gordon, and new District Attorney Harvey Dent successfully begin to round up the criminals that plague Gotham City, until a mysterious and sadistic criminal mastermind known only as "The Joker" appears in Gotham, creating a new wave of chaos. Batman's struggle against The Joker becomes deeply personal, forcing him to "confront everything he believes" and improve his technology to stop him. Storyline: Hubert Sauper's Oscar-nominated documentary about the Nile perch, a species introduced into Lake Victoria as an experiment in the sixties. Since then, the fish has not only wiped out the lake's other marine life, but also has a tendency to consume its own young. Unfortunately, the Nile perch is also the region's most profitable export. Everyone with a stake in the market downplays the ecological disaster.

Storyline: After being kicked out of her African village three decades earlier for getting pregnant out of wedlock, Linguere (Ami Diakhate) has returned home. While Linguere has done well for herself, her home village has fallen on hard economic times. Intent on punishing Dramaan (Mansour Diouf), the man who fathered her child but refused to own up to the act, Linguere makes a proposal: She will help the town financially, if the locals agree to execute Dramaan.

Storyline: In Stalinist Poland, cabaret singer Tonia (Krystyna Janda) decides to spend the evening drinking with a group of friends. The next morning, she awakes to find that, for reasons unknown to her, she has been jailed as a political prisoner. As prison officials interrogate, torture and humiliate her, she fights for survival and to maintain her innocence by refusing to sign a false confession. As her years of imprisonment pass, her relationship with her captors grows more complicated.

#9. Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964)

Storyline: Paranoid Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper of Burpelson Air Force Base, believing that fluoridation of the American water supply is a Soviet plot to poison the U.S. populace, is able to deploy through a back door mechanism a nuclear attack on the Soviet Union without the knowledge of his superiors, including the Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Buck Turgidson, and President Merkin Muffley. Only Ripper knows the code to recall the B-52 bombers and he has shut down communication in and out of Burpelson as a measure to protect this attack. Ripper's executive officer, RAF Group Captain Lionel Mandrake (on exchange from Britain), who is being held at Burpelson by Ripper, believes he knows the recall codes if he can only get a message to the outside world.
