Storyline: Jim Wyngate, an English aristocrat, comes to the American West under a cloud of suspicion for embezzlement actually committed by his cousin Lord Henry. In Wyoming, Wyngate runs afoul of cattle rustler Cash Hawkins by rescuing the Indian girl Naturich from Hawkins. Wyngate marries Naturich, but then learns that his cousin Lord Henry has been killed and has cleared his name before dying. As Wyngate has long loved Lady Diana, Lord Henry's wife, he is perplexed at his situation. #3. The Oklahoman (1957)

Storyline: In 1870, Dr. John Brighton and his wife Louise are on a wagon train heading for California. When they reach Oklahoma Territory, Louise dies during childbirth, but her baby girl survives. Louise is buried in the nearby town of Cherokee Wells, where her distraught husband decides to remain and practice medicine. He receives room and board from elderly widow Mrs. Fitzgerald, who also offers to help rear Dr. Brighton's child. Despite the town being a peaceful one, wealthy rancher Cass Dobie and his brother Mel stir up trouble. When the two brothers don't like a rival cattleman they undercut his price to try to force him out of business. Cass has secretly discovered oil on the land of his native neighbor, Charlie Smith. Oil is a relatively new commodity and few people know what it looks like or what it's worth. Cass Dobie offers to buy Charlie's land but when Charlie refuses to sell, Dobie threatens him. Dr. Brighton finds himself involved in this feud and the town's racial divide because of his friendship with the Smiths, with possible tragic consequences for all involved in it.—nufs68

#4. Texas Across the River (1966)

Storyline: The Louisiana wedding of debutante Phoebe Ann Naylor to Don Andrea de Baldasar, El Duce de la Casala is stopped by the Cavalry over a matter of honor. Don Andrea flees across the river to Texas, where he meets up with Sam Hollis and his Indian sidekick, Kronk, who are carrying rifles to the town of Moccasin Flats. Don Andrea rescues an Indian maiden, Lonetta, tames some longhorns, competes with Sam for Phoebe's affections, eludes a Comanche war party and the cavalry (who have come to Moccasin Flats to celebrate Texas' statehood) and ultimately saves the town and gets his girl.—Robin Richmond

#5. Across the Wide Missouri (1951)

#6. Run of the Arrow (1957)

Storyline: Dejected by the defeat of the Confederacy, O'Meara (Rod Steiger) heads west toward Sioux territory. After surviving a test called the "Run of the Arrow," he is accepted as one of the Oglala Sioux people and marries Yellow Moccasin (Sara Montiel). The couple create a family together and live contentedly until Capt. Clark (Brian Keith) arrives with a group of cavalry, hoping to build a fort nearby. O'Meara acts as a scout for the troops until their wary peace is shattered.

#8. The Squaw Man (1914)

Out West he and the Indian girl Nat-U-Rich save each other from the evil cattle rustler Cash Hawkins and marry. Lady Diana shows up to announce Sir Henry's death. #10. Pawnee (1957)

Storyline: Pale Arrow is a white man raised since a boy by the Pawnee Chief. With wagon trains now encroaching on Pawnee land, the Chief sends Pale Arrow to be with the white people. Now known as Paul Fletcher, he takes the job of wagon train scout.
