Storyline: Alim (Jimi Mistry) is a gay man living in London to escape the domineering eye of his conservative Muslim mother, Nuru (Suleka Mathew), back in Canada. Storyline: Two months after meeting him, Leila (Leila Hatami) marries Reza (Ali Mosaffa). Determined to be a devoted Muslim spouse, Leila eventually becomes convinced that her mother-in-law is right and urges Reza to consider the idea.
