#2. Murder on the Orient Express (1974)

Storyline: The first class compartment of the December 1935 departure of the Orient Express from Istanbul is full, unusual for this time of the year. Regardless, famed and fastidious Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, who needs to get back to London immediately, is able to secure last minute passage in the compartment with the assistance of his friend, Signor Bianchi, one of the directors of the train line who is also making the trip. Some of the first class passengers seem concerned about Poirot's presence on the train. At least one of them has reason to be concerned, as later, another first class passenger, who earlier in the trip asked Poirot to provide protection for him due to several death threats, is found murdered in his stateroom by multiple stabbings. At the time the victim is found, the train is unexpectedly stopped and delayed due to snow in remote Yugoslavia, which may be problematic for the murderer in getting away now that Poirot is on the case, which he is doing as a favor to ...

#3. Appointment With Death (1988)

Storyline: Emily Boynton (Piper Laurie), stepmother to the three Boynton children, and mother to Ginevra (Amber Bezer), blackmails the family lawyer, Jefferson Cope (David Soul), into destroying the second will of her late husband, which would have freed the childern from her dominating influence. She takes herself and the children on vacation to Europe and the Holy Land. In Jerusalem, Hercule Poirot (Sir Peter Ustinov) meets up with a woman friend, Dr. Sarah King (Jenny Seagrove), who falls in love with Raymond Boynton (John Terleskey) to Emily's disapproval. Lady Westholme (Lauren Bacall), her secretary, and Cope are following them too. The children learn about the second will, and Emily succeeds in rubbing the rest the wrong way, causing much hatred towards her. #4. Thirteen at Dinner (1985)

Storyline: When actress Jane Wilkinson (Faye Dunaway) forcefully demands a divorce from her husband, she appears unstable. Consequently, she is the main suspect when her husband turns up murdered. Master Detective Hercule Poirot (Peter Ustinov), who meets the actress through actor Bryan Martin (Lee Horsley), must determine, along with Inspector Japp (David Suchet), if Wilkinson's claims of innocence are true, and whether Carlotta Adams (also Dunaway), a Wilkinson impersonator, is involved.
