Short Review

Why in god's name remake "The Disappearance of Alice Creed," the film that proved that you only need three people in a room to make a compelling drama, providing the writing is top notch and the actors are talented. And Disappearance had Gemma Arterton and Eddie Marsan, so it doesn't get much better than that. Usually remakes are done after a lot of time has gone by, but The Disappearance of Alice Creed isn't that old. This German remake is even doing the original line by line. Very strange decision. I'm going to look up Alice now and just watch the original. Also, if you're watching this version in English, it's dubbed from the German, and poorly. Maybe German people would like to watch the story in their native tongue, but me? I'm outta here. Won't even finish it.
