Storyline

The International Space Station is now a prison - the ultimate black site. No one's getting out. And no one knows it's there. But when the imprisoned terrorists take over the Station and turn it into a missile aimed at Moscow, only a shuttle pilot and a rookie doctor can stop them. Their task is complicated by a rogue CIA agent (Scott Adkins) who has his own plans for the station and the terrorists within.

Short Review

I had anticipated a movie with Scott Adkins in it would bound to be good. Not so. Plot: That 6 terrorists from 'The Wolf Pack' would be housed, in space(?). Why? The expense of such a project for five years would be in the trillions and what could they accomplish there they could not accomplish on earth? The characters: The jailer Kingsley... basically a failed interogator with a (supposed) penchant for deathmetal and no imagination. The pilot Bridges... supposedly failed NASA astronaut who has yet to work out that flying to and from the space prison qualifies him as.. an astronaut! The CIA operative Reiser... waste of Scott Adkins in a petty role that sees reaction acting taking the place of character development and why on earth would the CIA want to bring a 'whistleblower' onto the station and in the next breath be wanting her to die? The doctor Stone... if you want someone to hate - she's the one. I had more sympathy for the terrorists than this. As a character ark, SHE was the one who caused the breakout in the first place, insisted on getting the moral high ground only to again do something stupid and fall off. By the end of the film I was begging for someone to put her out of my misery - then she survives. AS an actress? Still waiting to see some actual acting though if her acting was meant to make me unsympathetic and unloving of the character - she did a remarkable job. The 'bad' guys... uh... 2 dimensional and not bad enough to qualify as terrorists so in the space prison because...? SFX? More or less at the Sesame Street level. 'Nuff' said. Guys... if you want a movie to kill a few hours, there is so much better (AND with Scott Adkins) out there. I will never get this time back. I could have been better employed counting the hairs on a random catterpiller's back. One to miss.
