At first it was hard to watch this movie and the ending still makes me cry. I lost my husband in January of 2019, and normally a movie involving the death of a spouse would really bother me. However, this one is incredibly well written and the acting is amazing. I've always loved Lacy Chabert and I can't imagine anyone else in the role of Gina. As for Warren Christie (who plays Michael), I loved him in the 2008 Hallmark movie "The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" and only recently realized that he was in that movie as well. I also didn't realize that "The Color of Rain" first aired back in 2014, because it's such a timeless and relevant movie. It has a lot of sadness but also humor and it blends the two so realistically. They did a wonderful job of portraying grieving adults because I could relate to some of the things that they had to deal with. I highly recommend this to everyone. Even though the basic premise is sadness, there's a lot of happiness in it too.
