Short Review

Well, for a free Amazon, cold February Saturday, I felt completely happy and watched it a second time. It was not something that should have ever been in 3D. FOR me, a Southerner, surrounded by history which is being erased, I will watch and suggest to everyone to catch this flick. I saw no 3rd rate acting. As we all know, the Southern dialect is disappearing. Not everyone can accurately depict. Obviously a woman has a different interest in this film. This is more about a woman and mother survival during a horrible time and her struggles to maintain an entire farm, while suffering and starving. She was seen as a object of sex from the side her husband fought for, while a perfect gentleman treated her with kindness snd respect but was a Yankee. The enemy. Be more open to a woman's perspective in the war and not just the war itself, and you will enjoy it.
