Short Review

It was a fairly even handed docu-film studying ETA and the unionists arguments for and against Basque nationalism. Trying to tie it into the local game of Pelota seemed to fail, more about the sport could have been mentioned and a greater analysis of the Basque identity should have been explored. It was a bit slow and overly generous to the ETA terrorists. Will no doubt help in its small way to romanticise the struggle of ETA. The enduring appeal of the group still lives on in the region even if it is increasingly villified by many. Interesting but there's a better film waiting to be made about the region.
