Now a guilt-ridden reporter, John agrees to help his former friends by sheltering Armiti Khalq (Rachel Ticotin), a Palestinian woman accused of killing a prominent Israel supporter. As editor Brenda Hopkins (Virginia Madsen) pressures John for a story, FBI agent Robert Lecker (Christopher Plummer) demands that he turn Armiti over.
