Adapted from the book written by Ernest Hemingway that is set during the 1920's starring Tyrone Power as Jake Barnes a writer for the newspaper working in Paris which was at the time used to be affordable as opposed to living in the United States. While his friend,Robert Cohn (Mel Ferror) attempts to convince him to move out of Paris with him. Things begin to change when an old flame, Lady Brett Ashley (Ava Gardner) comes to Paris for a visit slightly disrupting his plans with a friend Bill Gorton (Eddie Albert) for fishing and watching bull fighting in Spain, revealing the star as impotent.
