Storyline

Short Review
Enjoyable well-done 1946 film, set in England circa 1890s but apparently filmed in the USA, it is another view on life in the Victorian era for the upper-crust and the working-servant class. The plot deals in many themes of interest to all but especially those under 30. The book by the same name is well-regarded and this film inspires interest in the book and larger analysis it inspires.
