Storyline
Rags-to-riches Hennessey meets newlyweds Jessie and Eddie from his old neighborhood. Eddie plots to have Jessie divorce him, marry Hennessey, divorce Hennessey, then bring Hennessey's money into remarriage with Eddie. His plan goes awry at several points.—Ed Stephan

Short Review
Not an instant classic, but fine performances from Joan Crawford and Spencer Tracy. Being a pre-code film, it also has some fun zingers and one-liners that would quickly disappear from later classic films.
